Life Drawing Session 381 LES HALLES - Short poses with anatomy explanations - Saturday, February 1, 2025, 10am

Join us for a short poses workshop with anatomy instructions, led by Maria Kuzma-Kuzniarska, PhD, a medical illustrator and former musculoskeletal scientist at Oxford University. You’ll draw dynamic poses as Maria explains the basics of human anatomy and provides insights on accurately depicting anatomical details in your work. An experienced female fine art model will pose for you, with poses ranging from 1 to 10 minutes. This workshop is ideal for artists interested in gesture drawing and honing their skills in quick sketching from life. No prior anatomical knowledge is required. Please bring your favorite art materials.

Posing for you will be an experienced male fine art model. We start with a few short warm-up poses, followed by one extended pose with short breaks in between. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned artist, this workshop is designed for all skill levels. We will demystify the complexities of the human anatomy providing you with the tools to create lifelike and realistic figures. No prior anatomical knowledge is required. Please bring your favorite art materials.

The sessions are run in English / French. All media are allowed, including pastels, ink, watercolor, or paint. No easels provided. While we recommend bringing your own art supplies, a basic Drawing Materials set is available for purchase at €5. Please buy it in advance to guarantee it will be available for you at the session.
